So, turns out that Sentai Filmworks isn’t releasing Hurricane Polymar on DVD after all, but on the other hand the crowdfunding site Anime Sols has acquired the rights to the series. If they meet their goal of $29, 000 within six months, there will be an official DVD release. Also, the entire series will be eventually available for streaming. If you’re a fan of the series and live in the US or Canada, you might want to visit their site and give them some support so it can succeed where their previous attempts like Tekkaman and Yatterman failed.
So what does this mean for the fansubbing project? Seeing as Anime Sols is most likely going to subtitle the entire series, I don’t really feel it’s necessary for me to continue working on it. In case they end up dropping the series for whatever reason I can always pick up from where they leave off but for now I’d rather focus on something else than trying to compete with them. You can probably expect Anime Sols to come up with better subtitles anyway seeing how they well handled their previous Tatsunoko material. I’m still planning to do a batch torrent for every episode I’ve done up until now with fixed scripts and better video but that might be the last update for this series. Expect a new project announcement sometime soon, what that is… I’m not entirely sure yet.
It’s cool. Thank you for all the work you’ve put into subtitling Polymar. Hopefully Anime Sols gets funded and I can have the show on DVD but it’s a long shot. Again thanks and I’m looking forward your next project whatever that may be.
😮 Good luck on your next project! 😀
If you’re not sure what to do next, here are some suggestions:
Cutey Honey Flash
Kamen no Ninja Akakage
Brave Exkaiser
Brave Express Might Gaine
Brave Command Dagwon
Super Robot Galatt (although Nanto did express the desire to sub a couple of eps someday)
With that said, I sincerely wish you luck on your next endeavor.
Just so you know, there were initial attempts at subbing some of the aforementioned series, but tapered off when the groups doing them suddenly disappeared.
Oh, and just a couple more suggestions that I forgot:
Energy Bomb Ganbaruger
Matchless Passion Gosaurer
That aside, I’ll stop now, I swear. ^_^0
That’s a real shame mate, all of us outside US will never see the full series subbed, short of some poor quality webrips. Thanks for the great work you’ve done on this, I’d love to see Sei Juushi Bismarck finally subbed.

If it funds, the DVDs will be put up for sale on Right Stuf, so you can order them from overseas there – or get a friend in North American to put in a pledge on your behalf, as multiple pledges per person are allowed.
Thanks for the info, that’s good to know.
thanks for hard work , could you take on of this anime on project = Manga Sekai Mukashi Banashi
1976 まんが世界昔ばなし
thanks UQ, Manga Sekai Mukashi Banashi Great Anime its 127 ep, no one subbed this
if you subbed few episode that be good
Hi UQ, I Suggestion to Translation Daikuu Maryuu Gaiking year : (1976) or Andes Shounen Pepero no Bouken Thanks Again year : (1975)
How about the Metal Heroes series “Space Sheriff Gavan?”
I know it’s live action, and not anime, but it’s a kickass show. Only 5 eps of it were subbed by Midnight Crew and then they stopped.
Are there any Tatsunoko shows that haven’t been translated? What about Urashiman? Ippatsuman?
Urashiman already subbed,
Probably best to stay off Tatsunoko stuff for a while until there’s more info on what’s licensed.
What next? We would like to see something old. Mikroid s, for example, or even earlier Rainbow Sentai Robin. Thanks for a great job
I’d love to see you sub NIghtsong of Splender, Dinosaur Hunters Born Free and 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother.
Also Yamato 1974 in blu ray if possible, The Bush Baby, Hidamari no Ki and Gamba no Bouken. Thats all I need. 😉
Central Anime did the first two series of Yamato, but refuses to handle the third series. The version you can find online is from an HK sub and not worth the time to dl. This would certainly be a good series to sub properly despite the cutting of the original storyline of 52 episodes down to 25.
I second both of these. Been wanting a translation of Bush Baby for about 15 years.
3000 Leagues in Search of Mother is already subbed by neo1024 and Pervert Fansubs.
HK bootlegs are on BakaBT, but no good translation exists.
O, yes “Dinosaur Hunters Born Free and 3000 Leagues” it’s a good idea. It’s like a “Atack of the supermonsters”
I request Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo from episode 64 and Sei Juushi Bismarck.
How about the 1980s giant robot show “Baldios?”
http://bluefixer.blogspot.com.au/search/label/Baldios
This guy only subbed 5 episodes and no one else picked it up.
Well, so what? What will next work? You already have a next show?
Definitely pent subject material, be thankful in support of picky facts . deaekkakcfba

Wonderful blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a
paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
Any tips? Thanks a lot!
